The Founder's Memorial的点评
点评：I took a walk over to the Founder’s Memorial during the night and was almost the only visitor except for the staff sweeping.
I was able to see the head after a short while of shifting myself around. The constellation, as this design was called, was an innovative method that would create the head and face out of thousands of polyhedrons suspended on wires. More about the design and construction of the monument was available at the visitor center.
I did not get to see much of the landscaping at night. However at the right viewing angle one can catch the Ethihad Tower, used in the filming of Fast and Furious 7, and the Founders Memorial together.
The visitor center was about a five minute walk and was still open that night. It was air conditioned and a nice respite from the heat and humidity. A huge wall sized screen played an endless loop of scenes from the life of Sheik Zayed. As mentioned earlier the video on the memorial design and construction was in a smaller room with headsets in each chair to listen in your preferred language. Lastly bathrooms were located here as well. However, I did wish that they had a water refill station.
