点评：We booked a tour to Stingray City through our Cruise line. We took a bus (30 minutes) to the excursion headquarters where we were informed about the proper protocol for the experience. We then boarded three boats for a short trip to the sandbar in the middle of the bay. The depth of the water on the sandbar was probably 3 to 3.5 feet. Two ladders off the back of the boat made entering the water and returning to the boat easy.
There were many stingrays in the area, and they frequently will bump into your legs and waist. Most of us uttered a little squeal the first few times this happened but you became accustomed to the sensation, and the squeals turned into smiles.
If you desire an employee will assist you in holding a ray, while a photographer takes your picture. A digital image was available for purchase ($18.00) when we returned to land – A printed copy was also available.
The guides brought squid along with them which we could hold in our hand and feed the stingrays.
The staff was great: jovial, helpful, and very willing to share their knowledge about these creatures.
I brought a snorkel mask with me on the excursion (and the company had masks for their guests) but if I had to do it again, I wouldn’t bother using the mask
