点评:We heard of this place on the internet and decided to visit. We were met at the front door by 3 ladies that belong to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and act as historical guides. Admission price was $10 per adult which was very reasonable and helps support the building/museum upkeep. Parking is plentiful and free on the side of the building in their own parking lot. We first watched a short video, which is well worth watching to gain an understanding of the building, ownership and history which was very impressive. We got a personnel guide of all three floors. I don't believe that that building is handicap accessible but suggest calling them to confirm. Our guide was amazing and really knew the history of the building and all the artifacts in the house! I have never seen some of the artifacts in the house in other historical places that I have visited throughout the country. She could readily answer any questions we had. The artifacts are in excellent shape considering that most of the items are 100+ years old, or older. There are restrooms in the building, and they also have a small gift shop to buy items. They have the most extensive clothes button collection I have ever seen in my lifetime. Seeing that was mind-boggling! You cannot take pictures on the inside by can by postcards they sell or go to the website to view or download pictures. Yes, it is very worth visiting if you are in the area and love history!!!
