点评：INS Chapal Warship Museum:
Though rabindranth tagore beach was not on the list, we visited it as it was on the way whereas our main motto was to visit Warship museum. Our intention to visit the INS Chapal Warship Museum was to see the decommissioned INS Chapal and its historical significance during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The visiting hours are from 10am - 12:30pm and 4:30pm - 6:30pm but to our notice there is ongoing renovation taking place and that prevented our visit this time. The thing about temporarily closure has not been put up on Google.
Exploring Rock Garden:
Since our visit to INS warship museum was unsuccessful this time we headed to the rock garden which is nearby and worth visiting. It is constructed on the shore of beach using local rocks and stones. One can see variety of rock formations and sculptures depicting Karnataka traditions and customs. Entry fee is 40 rupees per person and the visiting timings are 10am - 1:30pm and 3pm - 7:30pm. There is no time limit and you can spend as much time as you want clicking some beautiful pictures. It takes you around 1 hour to explore the entire garden. It's a beautiful place and the best time of the day to visit is in the evening. Even though it's a garden there is no facility of washrooms. The garden is in okay condition and efforts should be made to renovate and keep it clean. After rock garden we headed to Karwar Market, known for its vibrant atmosphere and local specialties like fish. We bought some dry fish and some mangoes.
