点评:While on our way home from New Orleans, our bus stopped at this museum. The docent explained that this museum was dedicated to the numerous cultural icons of the state. We were first shown the "Hall of Fame" which had a picture and commentary about each person in it. Then we moved at our own pace through the museum.
I loved how this museum was set up to present different aspects like old-time music, art, writing, TV personalities, and gospel music. Each room had something different. You could sit in a canoe and look at art that made you feel like you were in the bayou or on a major river. You could sit on wooden crates and watch short films projected off of laundry hanging on a clothesline, about the childhoods of some famous actors. We sat in pews at a church to hear gospel music. We also listened to headphones that told us stories about the famous musicians who invented jazz and blues.
Overall, a wonderful experience at this museum. When I arrived, I had no idea if I would like this museum. I left impressed.
