This wine tasting tour and picnic lunch was truly bad value for money

点评：The welcome at the vineyard was fairly perfunctory. We were sent off in self drive golf buggies on the tour which was 27km. We left at 10.30. We had assumed, naturally I think, that this would take us gently through vineyards with stops to look at different vines and information about growing conditions etc. It turned out to be a bizarre route, mostly on main roads, with traffic and lorries and us in an electric golf cart! Really quite dangerous. The tablets we were given to help our navigation were completely useless despite us having a teccy in our number! The buggies gave a very rough ride and we were all in pain by the time we reached our picnic destination (12.15) , not to mention how cold we were! There were only outside tables with no cover against the rain. The "picnic" per head was 1) a pasta salad in a jar, 2) 3 x 3cm piece of cheese, 3) 3 x 3cm piece of pâté, 3 x 3cm slice of pork rillettes 4) funny little cake thing that was too dry to eat. This "all" came with a bottle of red wine, a bottle of white wine, a bottle of water and 2 baguettes for eight people. The journey back to the vineyard took 10minutes so we were there by 13.15. We had been told (rather rudely) at the start that our wine tasting would be at 15.00 regardless of whether we were early or late. This therefore left us standing in front of the reception in the pouring rain with everything locked up so no cover for a potential hour and three quarters. We took the view that the whole experience had been so bad so far that the wine probably wasn't worth waiting for. We therefore all went our separate ways to warm up leaving Mourat feeling very pleased with themselves as this dreadful experience has cost us each 50Euros!
