点评：We've camped and/or visited many, many Texas State Parks going back 30+ years, so we wanted to add some of the lesser known sites to our life-list. What a wonderful park! International Dark Sky site, some of the Texas State Longhorn herd lives here, an atlatl demo, even a mini-planetarium at the park HQ. Bike and equestrian trails, nice hiking trails for all levels of ability. Our favorite trail was the Juniper. Rangers are so nice, and Ranger Tyler is a jack-of-all-trades interpretive ranger, indeed (he intro'd us to the longhorns (I "kissed" one, lol) , ran the planetarium show, did the atlatl demo and probably even more. He's great! Sadly, we failed to plan for a new moon, so we weren't able to experience the fantastic star display with the moon so bright - keep the moon phases in mind when you visit! Our only complaint is that access to drinking water in the park is difficult. If you camp, you can use the spigot at the campsites to replenish water bottles, but we really think a potable water faucet should be available at the park HQ for day visitors. The bathroom sink cannot acommodate filling a water bottle. So...bring PLENTY of water into the park with you. All in all, we enjoyed the couple of days exploring yet another great state park.
