Eden Lookout and Rotary Park的点评
点评：It's not the first time I have visited this lookout, but it was the first time for my daughter... her cousins are familiar with the area as they has spent many summers there with their grandparents.. .but this is the first time I had introduced my daughter to Eden and she is still talking about it weeks later.
The lookout is easy to find opposite the Rotary Park ... it's an easy walk to it. The lookout is a known area to watch for whales in the season, there are information boards at it that share information about whales. Many of us have not heard of the false killer whale... they smaller and slimmer than killer whales and do not have white patches on their bodies. In 1846, scientists Richard Owen, John Edward Gray, and Johannes Theodor Reinhart found that the FKW skull highly resembled a killer whale's skull, and thus gave this species its name: the “false killer whale.”
Every year there are sightings of whales in the area... you will need to visit during Winter. But I can assure you that there is no bad time to visit Eden... it is a beautiful place.
However, on our recent visit it was all about the view... those shifting shades of blue and grey - as the sky meets the water. It is truly a stunning view from here...so whatever your reason to visit... you can't help but be a little spellbound by what you see.
