点评:Many groups decide to do this trek on their own, but we couldn’t be happier with choosing UET and our luck of snagging Chris as a guide. Funny he is. He talks to the chameleons and to Mother Nature. Chris is super knowledgeable about the forests and botany of the area. Out philosophical discussions with Chris about Tanzania and cultures of the peoples were enlightening. Chris is a fir hiker who judged the rate and difficulty based on our abilities to keep up! Parts of the route were very steep. Chris only made 1 mistake and that was to take us to where the local women make and sell pottery. That shopping excursion delayed us quite a bit . Note: UET should inform hikers that days’ 3&4 accommodations are nice but very basic. Bushbaby Homestay was lovely with great food, but the nuns at the Rangwi Convent, although they are lovely people and the food is excellent, have some facility upgrades to catch up on. Overall, I can recommend taking this trip and asking for Chris’ availability.
