Excellent view across the city. Great for night-time photography.
城山展望台的点评
点评：I visited at night, whereby the views are beautiful at the top as I was able to see out across the city below which was all lit up against the night sky. Worth it, even if you cannot see Shiroyama volcano as well as during the daytime. Not many tourists either.
It’s very easily accessible, particularly from Tenmonkan being about 20-35 minute walk away. There is a bus service that makes it accessible for those less able as getting here on foot does require some endurance given there are a number of steps to get to the top given the hill that this area sits on. There are various small rest stops on the way some with seating and a vending machine area too for refreshment if needed. Do be aware at night however not all of the way is fully lit, with many dim areas.
At the top the viewing area is surrounded by trees and an open area in which you can look out at see the city below with benches. There are also some small dirt pathways round the park at the top too, some of which have no light at all, so I dont recommend exploring this given the risk of falling. The lack of light does make the area brilliant for nighttime photography though. Well worth the visit, quite special.
