点评:A group of 9 of us attended the Cask and Still event on March 7th. We were expecting just tastings and appetizers, but received so much more!
There were 5 tasting stations and a charcuterie board set up when we arrived. We were free to roam and enjoy both. The employees at the tasting stations were so friendly and knowledgeable. Kelsey, the emcee for the evening, started the night off by introducing the ryes and bourbons we were tasting and explaining what to expect. After she spoke, the 1st of 3 full size cocktails were delivered to our table. First was a sweet mash pioneer old fashioned, then a sweet mash sling, and finally a cocktail that was citrusy. Appetizers were being passed around as well and they were abundant ranging from goat cheese tarts to crab cakes to asparagus and prosciutto puff pastry wraps and a dessert option.
It was an educational, entertaining and enjoyable evening well worth our $40 per person. We would highly recommend it!
As a side note, if you’re planning to enjoy all the tastings and cocktails, have a DD lined up or make arrangements for overnight accommodations.
