点评：Our family trip to Alaverdi Monastery in the heart of Georgia’s Kakheti region was an unforgettable blend of history, spirituality, and natural beauty. Nestled among vineyards with the Caucasus Mountains as a backdrop, this 6th-century monastery offered us a peaceful retreat from the modern world.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was serene. The stone architecture of the cathedral, standing tall and weathered by time, felt both majestic and humble. Walking through the monastery grounds, we were struck by the sense of deep history — you can feel centuries of devotion in the walls.
Our children were fascinated by the monastery's ancient wine cellar, one of the oldest in the region, where monks have produced wine for over a thousand years. The connection between spiritual life and Georgian winemaking was both educational and culturally rich for all of us.
The staff and monks were kind and welcoming, and though not all spoke English fluently, their warmth and hospitality transcended language. We also appreciated the respectful silence and calm, which allowed us to truly reflect and enjoy the moment as a family.
