Goboat Canberra - Kingston的点评
点评：We had an enjoyable two hours on Lake Burley Griffin doing something that never entered our mind to do before.
Visiting the city for leisure for a change (vs work) and having driven over the lake or walked around it countless times, we were intrigued to see the city from a new perspective.
I booked what seemed to be the first session of the day @ 1130 which also happened to be one of the cheapest ($149) My first preference was their new location in the middle of the lake vs from Kingston, but it didn’t seem to be available to book on the weekday we were there.
There are toilets at the wharf, Cory gave us a great tutorial then showed us to our boat. I would say it’s a regular dinghy size maybe larger. It was comfortable for us as two adults and a dog, but it is pretty slow so I’m not sure how much slower it is with a full crew on board!
The weather was perfect for 97% of the 2hrs, but when a slight breeze came up the boat noticeably struggled.
It got quite warm since it’s the middle of the day, so if they had earlier sessions on weekends perhaps, then that would be perfect. Also I think the Central location would have suited us more to give us time to explore further as we’re quite familiar with the Kingston foreshore.
On our return Amy greeted us and asked if we were celebrating anything in particular, and I said “life”. Doing something out of the norm provided us with an unexpected few hours of fun.
