A once in a lifetime gorilla trekking experience.

点评：A once in a lifetime gorilla trekking experience. After fighting our way through the dense vegetation we saw a small group in a nest for about an hour and then left thinking the experience was over. It wasn't - the best was yet to come, thanks to our guide Daniel and the trackers we climbed further up the mountain where a family of about 20 gorillas (10 silverbacks) were grazing in the open. We were literally steps away from these amazing creatures, it was majestic. A few tips for those thinking of going-
1. Take plenty of food and water, we didn't estimate how far we would be from the hotel so only brought a light snack and we were quite hungry as we didn't get off until after 1pm so lunch around 4pm.
2. Bring extra cash as it is expected to tip the guide, tracker and someone to carry your bag, as well as your driver.
3. Prepare for all weathers and take layers.
4. A lot of knowledge can be gained from here which is not available anywhere else so I am eager to come to everyone
Finally a big thanks to our driver Lizunia who shared all her stories with us. He was very kind and wise. enjoy
