点评：I went on a three week 5 Stans (Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan) tour.
Not to put a too fine point on it but this was a fascinating and exhilarating trip. Partly because of the places we visited by also because of the tour leader.
The planning was meticulous and except for a canceled flight by the airline, everything went off as planned. The itinerary was as comprehensive as a 5 nation three week tour can be and we saw not only the highlights but also many off-the-beaten track places none of us would have found were we travelling alone; places the tour leader was familiar with given his vast experience in these countries.
It pays to have an experienced tour leader as ours explained everything, answered every question, arranged side trips that some had asked for, searched for stores or services tour members requested, looked out for the ill and the aged and was just an all-around wonderful companion.
