点评:While staying in Edinburgh, my husband and I took a Sunday day trip by train to Dundee, which is where my maternal grandmother's family is from. It is a beautiful city to visit. We strolled along the Firth of Tay and made our way into City Center, where we relaxed for tea at Henry's. There was a street musician playing and people shopping -- just lovely. We made our way to St. Marys and then to the McManus, stopping to admire the statues and take pictures. We didn't have time for a tour (next time), but the strolls through the streets were enough. The city itself is quite large, and I didn't get to wander far enough to find the actual homes on St. Clement, but just being in the city gave me such a peaceful feeling. The pictures I took of the Burns statue were funny as a bird would not get off his head. I think he would have thought that funny. My advice for winter travelers -- take the earliest train so you can enjoy the city by as much sunlight as possible. The day we went the sun set at 4:00.
