点评:We happened to see signs for this place on our way to our airbnb about 2 hours away! On our way home we decided to stop! And I'm so glad we did! I had no idea that Harriet Tubman was born in Maryland and this is were it all started for her! It was just so eye opening. The visitor center was beautiful and well kept. They play an informational video when you first walk in so you can get more information about Harriet and her journey. The next rooms have a lot of seens and information to read. It was easy to understand and follow along. The grounds are really beautiful too! There is a walking path and gardens to look at. All the park service employees were very helpful and answered all my questions! They gave us a little map to two more historical sites about 10 minutes down the road. We saw the farm Harriet Tubman grew up at and the store she was hit on the head at. Truly something inspiring. If you have time, please visit this place and learn more about her history!
