Marco and his dog Kathy are an amazing and very experienced team, working in silence in the forest, locating one truffle after the other.
The truffle hunting tour consisted of a showing the truffle dogs and an explanation on training and working with the Lagotto Romagnolo dogs, followed by a tour through the forest, where the dog Kathy and Marco are showcasing their skills and experiences on how to hunt truffles.
The second part is focused on how to process and clean the truffles and of course a delicious truffle-oriented lunch.
We also liked how Marco explained his way of life, how he trained the dogs, discussing the challenges like climate change and the business impact of the energy prices crisis on his business, but also about his successes and his look into the future.
We highly recommend the truffle hunting tour and the delicious truffle products.
