点评:I have visited Pushkar during peaceful times, and it feels like a place of serenity, where one could wander freely and soak in its beauty. But during Holi, this place transforms into a nightmare for women. The atmosphere was nothing short of predatory. What is supposed to be a celebration of colours turns into an open hunting ground for men to grope, touch, and violate without consequence.
I stepped out on Holi, thinking I’d experience the festival, but within minutes, I was swallowed by a mob of men who had no interest in celebrating, only in molesting. Hands came from everywhere, grabbing, touching, I didn’t even know where to turn or whom to fight. The worst part? No one cared. No police, no locals, no bystanders. IT WAS AS IF THIS WAS JUST EXPECTED.
Pushkar during Holi is not safe for women. Locals who claim they are not part of those men are just as responsible because they let it happen. They see it, they know it, and they do nothing. Their silence, their inaction make them an accomplice to the crime. I urge every woman and anyone who feels that women should be respected at the very least, not to visit. This place and its people do not deserve the tourists, the money, or the attention they get.
I hope God is watching, the place dedicated to Lord Brahma, I hope he curses them. I hope they suffer for what they let happen year after year.
