Tadoba, Probably Still Your Best Chance Of Sighting Tigers

点评：We have been visiting this park since 2014 and have seen many changes over the years. A lot of money seems to have been spent recently, new toilet facilities (which were needed) new gate and car park at Kolara, & what seems like massive development at Moharli gate.
We have always stayed at the Kolara side of the park but this year we stayed at Moharli side as well. We found the gate at Moharli to be much busier than Kolara, many more people & vehicles, but having said that, our experience in the park that side was much quieter, we came across very few other vehicles & at both sightings we had there, we only had two or three other vehicles with us.
The park has a strict rule about no mobile phones, this seems to catch a lot of people out. If you take a mobile with you, it will be locked in a box which is kept by the park guide & returned to you at the end of your drive. Also you can no longer take plastic bags or plastic water bottles into the park either. Another change is that food can only be consumed at designated areas in the park now.
One of the biggest changes is the introduction of GPS to monitor movement & speed of the safari vehicles both in the core area & the buffer zones. Additionally in the buffers, the drivers are only allowed to stay for a maximum of 15 minutes in one place, before they have to drive off, which can be very frustrating if you are in the middle of a sighting.
In spite of all the rule changes, price increases, charges for taking cameras into the park etc. I feel that Tadoba still gives you one of the best chances of seeing tigers in the wild. Definitely worth a visit, do plan at least three nights here.
