点评：Housed in the beautiful renaissance building, the Palazzo dei Diamanti, the Pinacoteca Nazionale is the repository of art from Ferrara, from the thirteenth to the eighteenth centuries. Great opportunity to learn about the Ferrarese School and its masters. Highlight include works from those masters iofFerrara and internationally known artist as well: multiple works from Bastianino, Carlo Bononi Giraloma da Capri, Vicino da Ferrara, Giovanni da Modena, Simone dei Crocifissi, Pietro della Vecchia, Battista Dossi, Dosso Dossi, El Greco, Il Garofalo (over two dozen pieces!), Ortolano, Palma Il Giovane, Scarsellino, Tintoretto (fifteen pieces), and Cosme Tura.
Strongest in the Renaissance, in the years when art was being most fully patronized by the Este family, the collection is superbly curated with very easy wayfinding through the rooms and information available in English.
