点评:We stopped in while exploring Navarre Beach to check out the Conservation Center. There is a minimal fee $5 for entrance to the area which includes the indoor educational displays, a gift shop and a short “tour talk” introducing you to Sweet Pea, the green turtle who has been adopted and serves as ambassador in residence after being found in the beach severely injured. Meeting Sweet Pea was a big portion of the visit. The center has a mission to educate people on the importance of sea turtles and to help instill a sense of responsibility for conservation, emphasizing the damage human behaviors can and are having on threatened and endangered species. There is outdoor area as well with displays but not sure if it was because of visiting in the off season (January) or what, the outside area seemed to be in need of work and was lacking.
