Cannot recommend this tour for safety reasons

点评：The boat and crew were great and the islands we visited were beautiful. My only concern is the lack of adequate safety precautions during the snorkeling. The first stop we made was to a sandbar. It was pretty and when we went into the water it seemed as safe as all of the other snorkeling trips we have taken but it changed very quickly. We swam away from the boat and all was fine I stuck my head up frequently and was able to keep track of the boat and my fellow snorkelers. Then the guide pointed the direction to the sandbar. I started swimming and stuck my head up and noticed that the rain that had been lite was now heavy coupled with an increasing swell made it so I couldn’t see the boat, the sandbar, or my fellow snorkelers. Then I noticed the strong current that made swimming in the direction of the sandbar difficult. I decided to continue on and eventually spotted people standing on the sandbar. The current was still strong but at least I knew I was going in the right direction. I finally made it to the sandbar breathing heavy and very scared. Once on the beach looking pale and panting one of the guides asked me if I was ok. When I told him about the lack of visibility and strong current he looked surprised and walked away. He shouldn’t have been surprised. I have snorkeled all over the world including recently off the Great Barrier Reef. Never once was I as scared as I was snorkeling with Cruisin Fiji. The lack of any any guidance after the general direction or any discussion of the limited visibility or that we would be swimming against a strong current was not acceptable. They called this a guided snorkeling tour and there was little if any guidance. I cannot in good conscience recommend this tour to anyone.
