Mesmerising view of Asias Largest Man Made Lake and India’s fifth tallest Dam

点评：During our stay in Rishikesh our hotel staff told me to visit Tehri Dam and the staff told us that we can get the most beautiful and most thrilled experience of our life. As suggested we planned to go there. The place is situated at a distance of near about 78 kilometres from Amres Chownk Rishikesh and the road is very good. The entry fee to the lake is 50 per car and the Lake is located on the Tehri Dam which is the tallest dam in India and 13 tallest dam in the world. The dam is located in the Tehri Aggarwal District of Uttarakhand and the length of the dam is 42 kilometres. The creation of the dam had submerged a small town known as Tehri which was situated on the confluence of Bhagirathi river and Bhilangna river in Uttarakhand. The reported depth of the dam as per the official sources is 740 feet. U can get lots of water sport activities here which varies from their charges
We took the speed motor boat ride for my family for half and hour which cost me 4000 INR. The ride was so beautiful that u get in the middle of the lake and u can get the view of La Roi Fooating Cottages Resort which is situated in the middle of the lake and also the Dobra Chanti Bridge which is India’s longest suspension motor-able single lane bridge. If u had a stay in the area u can also enjoy the Magical Light show in the bridge daily between 7:30 to 09:00 pm. I will definitely suggest u to go out there and get a chance to yourself to witness the Largest Man Made Lake of Asia and the Tallest Dam of India
