点评：Nice place. It’s a short walk but again not too short and not too long. It was pleasant. The Goldie locks zone where life thrives in the trees garden and lough. A pleasant walk just about right. Whomever designed layout knew what they were doing. An in between Estate, house closed for renovations and you could see it needs love and attention. The windows are crying out for restoration, they look sad 😞 but hopefully with lick of paint 🎨 it will smile 😀 again like the Gothic arch… who will have surprised shocked face at her new brightness! She be in aww🥰 Again house from outside house just like the walk it is not too small and not too big, just right. My understanding is that it was a hunting lodge in the beginning and versions added later. Addition adds on show respect to its heritage. I would call it a character house! The place reminds me of a normal Irish family and neighbours. Sometimes we love or hate each other but in “spite” of all that we end up in the same place! It’s a pity when neighbouring estate was for sale county council didn’t buy it.. would have made wonderful experience for adventurers and explorers. The only down side to the estate is that there is no rowing boat experience to enjoy floating bed of Lough Ennell. What I mean is that it’s a shame no rowing boats not power ones as sound would travel and destroy the place. I loved the ice house 🤦♀️ imagine a spoilt child saying I want ice cream and the servant running down path and back up again 😆 I tell you never mind the spoilt brat but give ice cream to the sweating servant ! And finally the food was really nice and the inviting entrance was what I just needed to start my “exploring the heart of Ireland” experience from my completed journey of Wild Atlantic way. This new journey I will call the “Wild Heart of Ireland”.
