点评:This museum is a spectacular collection of Mexican folk art. Once you see the fine craftsmanship here you have a better understanding of what you see in the markets. The museum is divided into 5 sections by theme making it easy to see connections. Everywhere you look there is some magnificent piece of pottery, weaving, wood carving, metal sculpture etc. if you are traveling with young children just know that there are an lot of day of the dead pieces and devils which a young child might find scary(or not).
The building itself is a work of art with a huge open atrium in the center.
My only complaint is that I wanted to know about what I was looking at. Pieces were identified in some cases by artist or area but I would have enjoyed a more comprehensive guide. The online guide was either in Spanish only or information was very general.
