点评：My wife & I were visiting Madison for a couple of sporting events, and decided to check out the annual GLEAM nighttime art exhibition while we were in town. The staff on-site were friendly & welcoming, and they did a very good job of crowd control for this locally popular event that required advance sale timed tickets with the customer groups allowed entry in 15-minute intervals. Our early evening arrival time offered us access to many free parking spots on the OBG main lot near the Gardens entry point, but guests with later admission times had to find more distant alternative parking locations (identified on the website).
The only night we were able to attend the show was a Thursday, and the Botanical Garden had scheduled a "Cycropia Pop-up" feature that night which increased the admission price considerably. Unfortunately this talented local aerial dance group's routines were restricted by the layout of the Gardens, which limited the scope - and the altitude - of their various performance pop-up spots scattered around the facility grounds. The GLEAM lighted art exhibits were unique, but the layout & pathways around the property presented a confusing route for visitors to traverse (dead-ends & switchbacks with minimal signage & spotty path lighting to direct the traffic flow). Overall this special exhibition wasn't worth the entry fee to us, and we would encourage the organizers to reassess & reconfigure their art installations/presentations in the future to make them more easily accessible for visitor enjoyment.
