Disappointing Experience: Poor Management and Maintenance Overshadowed a Once-Favorite Course

点评：I have been a regular at this golf course for nearly a decade, frequently visiting with my father. We have always appreciated the atmosphere and customer service, particularly from the lady at the front counter, who has consistently been courteous, professional, and flexible in her approach. However, our most recent experience left much to be desired and calls into question the management and operational standards of the course.
We had a twilight tee time and arrived 40 minutes early, as is our usual practice. The front desk attendant advised us to go ahead and start if no one was on the first hole. Upon arriving, we found no players on the fairway, nor any group waiting to tee off. After informing the marshall of our understanding with the front desk, he insisted we could not proceed, despite the clear lack of players. We were told to wait for an additional 30 minutes, during which time three different groups of two tee'd off without any intervention from the marshall. Rather than managing the flow of players, the marshall appeared preoccupied with chipping practice, showing little concern for the situation at hand.
When our designated tee time was about to arrive, we attempted to respect the flow of play by allowing a twosome to tee off for their 2:10 tee time. To our surprise, another twosome arrived at the same time and claimed their 2:12 tee time after the previous two tee'd off, further delaying our start. At this point, the marshall’s inaction and lack of oversight were evident, and we were left frustrated by the inefficient handling of the situation. After completing only nine holes, we chose to leave rather than deal with further disorganization. Many of the other courses I have played in my lifetime, if there is opening and you are ready to play then you are welcome to jump in and join a group, especially to keep other tee times available.
Additionally, the overall course maintenance and attention to detail were lacking. A dead rat was visible just outside the restaurant/pro-shop, which is unacceptable for any facility, especially one that purports to offer a quality golfing experience. The condition of the golf carts was also subpar, with one cart suffering from a seat held together with duct tape and began to malfunction by hole 9.
Given the availability of similar tee times and competitive pricing at other local courses that maintain a higher level of professionalism and course quality, I find it hard to recommend this establishment without reservation. The management of play and general upkeep need significant improvement to meet the standards expected by regular golfers like myself.
