More cryptic clues and story development would improve the experience

点评：The customer service was good. We were welcomed in a warm manner and the introductory video was quite funny.
The room that we did was challenging. No-one on our team could figure out how the starting point for the journey related to the story presented to us. I suspect that next to no-one actually finds the starting point for this room by themselves as it was very obscure and we were offered a hint by the guide without requesting it after a short period of time in the room which furthers my suspicion. As we started in darkness with torches it would have helped if there was some sort of indication to get us to pay attention to those particular objects in the room to which we were directed by the guide.
The general theme of our experience was a lack of story to link the different puzzles in the room and no story development to assist with progression in our journey. We were supplied with items to use in other puzzles and to switch the lights in the room on but there were no clear story links/cryptic clues or riddles linking the objects to the other puzzles. I don't think anyone would have been able to complete the room without asking for hints as a consequence as more than logic and intuition would've been required to do so.
The puzzles themselves were suitably challenging and required team-work for completion. I really enjoyed this part of the experience and the fact that we had 90 minutes to complete the room so that it wasn't as rushed as the 60 minute rooms I've completed which made it a little more family-friendly.
A significant number of items had signs on them telling you not to move the object or open the object which detracted from the ambience of the room, as did the chains on certain items to prevent them being rolled to a different location in the room. In an escape room if isn't nailed or glued down people are going to assume that it can be explored. It might be worthwhile introducing some locked glass cabinets into which such props can be placed as no-one is going to break glass to get to things in any room.
We finished the room with 30 seconds to spare. If there was a rating between very good and average I would give that, but as I can't really say it was very good I'll have to give it an average rating.
To improve the experience please use more cryptic clues and story development to link the different puzzles along the journey to the final escape. Further dividing the room into separate zones can also assist with progression. The two zones in the room weren't well defined with only a single puzzle and a small number of items hidden in zone 2. More could be done to use the space further.
