点评:I didn't see backstage but certainly out front and in the arena everything was spotless and well maintained. I could make out most of what the announcer was saying, I struggled with his thick accent more than it being bad acoustics.
The rodeo itself was varied and entertaining. I had actually assumed it was outdoors so my first surprise was to take my seat at his large indoor arena. The small museum at the entrance meant nothing to me and there were no small souvenirs that you could buy, not even a program, but he rodeo itself was good.
We had bucking bulls as well as horses, plus various competitions of horsemanship, lasso skills and some rope tricks too. I didn't get the mass chase of an animal by young children (although they failed to catch it anyway) and I also thought the lasso-ing of a calf was a bit cruel as it seemed to get its head jarred back in a painful way.
I understand though that this is all part of being a cowboy and being at a rodeo.
I was able to take photos and video throughout, no problem.
My only tip is that there is no need to buy a VIP ticket as I had. Yes, you are high up but some of the near end arena is blocked as it is actually underneath the stand. I think a front seat at one of the sides would have been better, and it is cheaper as well.
