点评:As others have noted, the outside of this building/grounds doesn't' seem to be as well taken care of as other NPS properties/attractions; it almost seems closed. We pass by this every year on vacation and this year I decided I wanted to see it. It is very small and won't take much time to go through, and there are seemingly many interactive type exhibits for children (we are old and didn't have children with us), but in reading the information on the exhibits I learned some very fascinating information that was of particular interest to me and I found very surprising (local mica found in the Native american mounds in Ohio; the local clay used in Wedgewood from England, local ingredients used for computers, old pictures of the mine workers, etc). You never know what you're going to learn when you give yourself the opportunity! The employee seemed to be more of a person running the cash register for the gift shop and not necessarily someone who answers questions, but we didn't ask any either, so not sure about that. nice clean restrooms too if you need that on the stop on the parkway.
