点评:The name “Cascata della sega” (saw's waterfall) doesn't seem to derive from the fact that here on the Rabbi river there was once a hydraulic saw moved by the force of the water (as would also be possible), but – from what I read – because the waterfall, deeply cutting into the sandstone step through which it falls, has produced two almost parallel grooves, which cut into three the step itself. As if, in short, the river had “sawed” the stone.
Upstream from the waterfall, the river flows almost placidly on an immense sandstone slab, then it is attracted by the force of gravity towards the slope: then the water becomes fast and swirling, finally falling into a relatively deep basin, in which in summer you can try to bathe (the water is cold anyway). The sandstone slabs surrounding the site are instead suitable for sunbathing.
Unlike the nearby “Screaming Cave”, cordoned off since the summer of 2024 after a fatal fall, this waterfall is freely accessible in all its parts (obviously using the normal precautions).
A very shaded path of about 2 km starting from the center of Premilcuore allows access to both waterfalls
