点评:Little has changed in the five decades since I was last here. That's the uniqueness of these cornish fishing villages they are nestles into the coves and there is not much one can do to change it unless you rebuild the entire village. Yes shops, cafes and businesses come and go but the village remains. There was a lot of new development above the village where we parked our car and took the short stroll down to Port Issac. Even the fame of the Doc Martin TV series has not changed the village.
It was not the greatest day to visit with rain and wind, but there is enough to see even as you get wet. The old school(now a hotel), church, fish market Doc Martin's house along with a number of cafes and souvenir shops. The Harbour Treats must boast some of the best fudge anywhere and the ice cream is not to bad either.
You get excellent views over the harbour as you walk in past the old school and if you continue on the coastal path past the Doc's house.
There is parking near the harbour, but it is limited so if you want to park here then get into town early. Parking at the top is in a bigger parking space and an easy walk into Port Issac, the walk back is a bit harder as it is all up hill. However there is a bus shuttle that will take you part of the way.
