点评:Easy to find with a GPS. Visitor center located next to a parking lot so makes it plentiful given this is in a big city. Only 7 on my tour and no one was lined up for the next tour so we got a real treat and had a 2.5-hour tour and lecture. The ranger was extremely knowledgeable and spoke quite well. I was once or twice a bit miffed when he insinuated that white people would not be able to relate to discrimination. As a woman, I can. Regardless, this was a awesome experience.
The gas station is directly across the street. For those of you who do not know its significance, it had the only phone where reporters had to call back to their big city offices and tell everyone what was happening real time. It is kept in beautiful condition. The school is across from the gas station; so, it is a triangle of buildings. I mention this for those who would have limited abilities with walking. A wheelchair or walker would be fine to see everything, but I honestly can't remember if when the ranger took us down in front of the school there were steps going down. You would not have to go down further if you can't. The school is beautiful from the top at the sidewalk.
