点评:It is an uphill walk from the entrance to reach the well, however the road is smoothly paved, it's well signposted and there are plenty of things to see along the way. We went on a weekday afternoon in January and there was no queue to enter the well and maybe about 5-10 people walking down the stairs at the same time as us. At the top there was a sign telling you some rules such as to keep moving and not to obstruct other people who are visiting at the same time.
One thing to note is that as you descend it gets much darker and you may find it useful to light your way with a torch. Some of the steps lower down were also wet so sturdy shoes is probably useful as well. Even with stops to take photos it doesn't take long to reach the bottom. On the day we visited they had roped off the actual central part at the bottom but you still got a good view looking up.
Once at the bottom there are a series of lit paths through underground passages. One leads to the waterfall, another to the Eastern Grotto. If you take the one to the imperfect/ unfinished well, you may need to bend as the ceiling is much lower in this passage and you'l have to double back on yourself as there appears to be no exit. I think I saw a sign that said you should remain on one path and travel in one direction if you are on one heading towards an exit.
