We checked out from our hotel on 1st February 2025 around 10:00 a.m. with excitement to explore Patratu Valley — a dream ride I always wanted to experience after seeing those curvy roads and breathtaking views on Google and blogs.
We went on a Scooty ride, and the journey through the valley stretch was simply amazing. The helical roads are well-maintained and butter-smooth, making the ride truly enjoyable. Just a friendly tip – drive slow while descending, as some drivers might surprise you with their reckless driving.
Make sure to carry enough fuel as the uphill and downhill journey covers approximately 50 km with limited fuel stations on the route.
We also visited Patratu Dam and Patratu Lake. Though the boating facilities were well-organized, we skipped it due to the low crowd and safety concerns. However, if you're visiting with family or friends, you can definitely give it a try.
Pro Tip: Visit early in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy the serene beauty in peace.
