点评：This is an iconic thing to do in San Francisco, so you gotta do it but man you better pack your patience because this was so disorganized and crowded when we went. I recommend first that you download and buy your pass thru the muni mobile app. We bought a one day muni + cable car pass, for $14 a person and this gives you hop on hop off access to ride any line. I do recommend you don't activate the pass until you get to the turntable. Reason being we activated our passes at the hotel only to get to the turntable on the Blue Line(Hyde/Powell) and the cable car line was broken and was down pretty much the rest of the day and the staff was so unfriendly and unhelpful. So we walked to the (Powell/Mason Line) and the line was so very long. When the cable car pulls up its disorganized Chaos trying to board and you're packed on there like a Sardine and possibly pick up more people at the next stop. The actual ride was fun and a good way to see some of the city. When you get to the end of the line you have to deboard and wait in line again to get back on the cable car. The actual cable car ride is only approx 16 minutes but this was 3 hours for us waiting before, riding & waiting to come back so plan accordingly, because we didn't.
The next day we rushed over to try and ride the blue line since it was broke the day before and the line again was so long, so we walked to the next stop to wait and the cable car was so full the first time, we couldn't get on and had to wait for the next one (this was still quicker then the turntable wait, but we had to stand inside so you have to take what you can get. Half way thru this ride the operator incorrectly applied the brake and we got stuck in the middle of the street and had to wait for a truck from headquarters to come push us. Needless to say we didn't ride the cable car back and called it a day on the cable car ride
