点评：This is a Must Visit place on the island, the westernmost point. While it has served as a dock and connection to the water for 200 years, it is also the best place on the island to see the sun setting into the Gulf of Mexico and every night will provide you the chance to see it. Again, you can visit anytime but you will really want to see at sunset.
We visited on our first evening after dinner just before sunset. While there is a carnival happening in the square before sunset, we were really here to see the sunset. The colors and the way the sun sinks into the water make this a great place to see a sunset, best on the key. The next day we had the chance to see the square from the water on our ferry ride to and from Dry Tortugas. However, the best way to see the square is at sunset. It is magical.
