点评：I highly recommend visiting this historical site. It is a very special place. Choose to visit by weather, as many have complained of the heat. We went on a beautiful day in January.
Accessible by dirt road by regular cars, there is a parking area with info and access to a brief walk up to two easy to find areas of fenced-off intaglios. Each has an explanation board. While there, look around you at the surrounding mountains and see why someone long ago made the declaration “I am here!” and painstakingly carved out creative evidence in the desert rocks. The Man, Spiral and Animal are easy to see, but do look it up ahead in satellite view on Google maps or the like so you can appreciate the scene. It felt like sacred ground, and standing on the hill with the beauty of the surrounding area is worth the stop all by itself.
