Do Better Chicago. I expect More from Chicago’s Aquarium
谢德水族馆的点评
点评：This is not the Worst Aquarium I’ve been too but I’ll definitely say it’s not the Best. The Dolphin Show / whale show saved them . It was probably the most entertaining thing about the aquarium. If you’re looking for the Atlanta or Florida Aquairum (Tampa) . This is not it.
Pros:
- Beluga Whale and Dolphin show. The show was well organized . The view of Lake Michigan was beautiful . Multiple shows and a lot of available space for families to sit. No splashing in the winter time . Seats are very low so be careful if you have knee and/or back problems.
- Hot Dog stands outside the aquarium. Probably cheaper than Aquarium food . Did not eat inside the aquarium.
- Relatively close to the other museums/ sites included with the City Pass . BUY the city pass . This Aquarium can be walked through quickly.
- Organized entry . Entry was relatively quick.
- Employee walks around with a sign that says ask me. Individual was very helpful . I asked the person a lot of questions because the maps and signage inside the aquarium are not well informative.
Cons:
- Parking . Yes on weekends you have to pay meters in chicago . Meter parking is hard to find. Therefore you’d have to pay 35$ to park close which fills up quick or pay at the garage which is a nice walk . It is cold in February. Plan accordingly.
- Unclean bathrooms. Pay your cleaning staff more and hire more cleaning crew . Cleanliness is everything. It should be atleast 6 staff rotating the building given the size of the crowds.
- Long wait time to get on elevators to go downstairs. This was a waste of time and a way to try and force families to take photos and pay for them. Nothing exciting was down there minus coral reefs. Who was the engineer and mastermind behind this project?
- 4D Theater experience used reusable glasses which are not properly sanitized . These glasses should be replaced with recyclable glasses to ensure sanitation standards are met. The shark 4D show was educational though.
