No Better Place to Appreciate the Bay

点评：This is an unusual museum, and is well worth a side-trip if you are on your way to the beaches, as well as making it a destination on its own. It is very spread out over a large waterfront area, with separate buildings helping you understand the life of an oysterman, a crab-fisher, a yachtsman, and many others who make their living or spend their free hours on the water. The museum parts are interactive and informative, and you can even drop your own crab pots or oyster dredge into the harbor to see what you catch! There is also a special exhibit on the Underground Railroad, which ran through the Eastern Shore (Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass grew up nearby, and there is even a rebuilt house at the museum that belonged to Douglass' sister). I have been to many museums around the world but this is one of the best -- informative, uncrowded, scenic, and entertaining all at the same time!
