点评：A blend of history, nostalgia, and natural beauty. This iconic attraction was a unique way for us to experience the breathtaking landscapes of Mendocino and it’s perfect for all ages.
The train was so charming it felt like we were transported back in time. The train had wooden interiors, complete with large windows. Once we started moving the gentle chugging of the engine added to the authentic experience.
The route itself is nothing short of spectacular. Winding through towering redwood forests, over rustic trestle bridges, and along the tranquil Noyo River, the views are postcard-worthy. For nature lovers, the train offers an up-close encounter with some of California's most stunning scenery. There’s also an open-air car, which is ideal for photography or simply enjoying the crisp, pine-scented air.
One highlight of the journey was when we got to disembark and explore the surroundings at select stops. We hiked a short trail, taking in the serene beauty of the forest.
Families with young children will find this to be a magical experience, as the train ride often feels like stepping into a storybook. It’s also a hit with history buffs and railroad enthusiasts who will appreciate the care taken to preserve this piece of American heritage.
