Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area的点评
点评：The Delaware Water Gap is an immense area but it is NOT in Delaware! The Delaware River is the longest free flowing river east of the Mississippi and Pennsylvania and New Jersey share its shores. It is a unit of National Park Service and their rangers are the kindest you would ever meet. The PEEC, or Pocono Environmental Education Center, is a great place to start. They have maps, an information center, a gift shop, educational displays, trails, cabins for rent (room for large groups) and bathrooms. The tumbling waters trail is on site if you are looking for a challenging trail that is fairly long with many changes in elevation. However, if you are looking for a shorter, quicker trail and don’t mind a lot of stairs the .3 mile Raymondskill trail has a more spectacular waterfall and you can safely use stairs to view the upper and lower falls. Many towns are within the DEWA area and Milford was quaint and the people were welcoming and friendly. We rafted (floated- the river was very slow) with Adventure Sport and had a great experience.
