Excellent family park
多莱坞公园的点评
点评：This is a wonderful family park. My sons (9 and 11) enjoyed the rides. We were here during spring break so longer lines are to be expected, but this is well worth it if this is your entire day’s activity. We were able to ride lots of rides with a 5-30 min wait each, with a couple of the hot ticket coasters under an hour. This park is exceptionally clean, with a unique southern/country feel, and amazing stores showcasing everything from homemade fudge to artisan crafts. As the mom I do not like rides at all, but I had plenty to see in the unique shops. Food was a tad on the expensive side, but that’s the case with most amusement parks. I still found it to be cheaper than the Six Flags franchise! I liked that they had lots of southern food options. Staff were super friendly and warm— lots of older folks were working here (perhaps a retirement gig?) Absolutely *do not* skip the Dolly Experience, which is a collection of multiple buildings showcasing many of her outfits, mementos, and videos over the years: what a truly remarkable career!!! We were only able to fit in one show, but it was incredible, with lots of talent in the singers. I wish I could have seen all of them. A special thank you to the nice adult lady (slender with ponytail) who on Wed 3/26 at the very end of the night noticed my son and I running to catch a glimpse of Dolly’s childhood cabin home. We were getting cinnamon bread and lost time due to the line at closing time—we rushed to get there before it closed (it was right around the corner). She was just locking up when she noticed us run up and she very sweetly, of her own volition, unlocked it so we could walk through—it only took us a minute but that was really kind of her. Thank you!
