Scapa Flow Museum的点评
点评：Spent a couple of hours walking around and looking at the wartime exhibits, if you are interested in military and or naval history, this museum is right up your street, starting at the old steam crane or HMS Hampshire propellor, shaft and bearing outside , before entering the main museum which has artifacts from the German Grand Fleet, and from some Roual Naval ships including the battleship HMS Royal Oak, and the HMS Hampshire, the museum is sited in the pump room that used to pump oil from the large storage tanks onto the ships, through to another gallery with some great photo albums showing life in the large base that Scapa was for the Home fleet.
If you find yourself in Orkney, jump on the Service 2 to Houton and take a pleasant crossing over on the ferry, entry to the museum is free, but it’s def worth a donation to help keep it running,
