Worth seeing during the holiday season

点评：The Biltmore estate is worth seeing at least once in your lifetime, especially during the Christmas season. My husband and I, along with a friend, booked tickets to specifically see the nighttime decorations. The weather was very chilly, so the shuttle bus from the parking lots to the estate was much appreciated. If we had had more time we would have come back the next day to see more of the grounds.
One note for anyone with mobility issues: There is an elevator between the first and second floors, but due to a bad knee, I skipped the third and fourth floors which required climbing stairs. The ticket prices are high, so I felt a bit of a let-down that I couldn't explore the entire mansion. Be prepared for crowds during the holiday season, but the tours are self-guided with audio guides, so you can go at your own pace.
