Excellent, safe, welcoming and encouraging gym...

点评：Excellent climbing gym - I am a member now and was trained here in basic skills including belaying. Staff are incredibly welcoming, and enthusiastic climbers themselves, clearly expert (though modest) too. There is always an emphasis on safety, if I haven't been for a while and need a refresher staff are responsive, and also they seem to regularly check we are still practicing safely. There is a great atmosphere, family friendly. As an older, beginner climber I don't feel out of place, there are others my age and even older (though often more experienced!). I love that the cafe means I can climb for an hour, have a break and a drink or snack, before climbing again. I travel for work and go to gyms in other cities, I am surprised that some do not hold to the same safety standards as Rockstar and feel grateful that I trained here. Climbs are tough, challenging, compared to other gyms, but there are many routes at the lower levels to keep me busy for many hours, every time. I also recommend arranging additional tuition, I have had a few one to one sessions with Owen, really helped in giving me confidence early on, and on technique. This made climbing more enjoyable. Wish I had discovered it years ago!
