点评：The Guide. The River. The Experience.
(1) Our guide knows that stretch of river like it's the interior his own house - the patterns of the flow of water, every rock, every turn, every eddy. And he used it to maximize the 'fun' of our experience while keeping safety at the forefront.
Our trip was on a cold day in mid-March, and it was very appreciated that our boat did not flip [in July I would have jumped in for a swim :) ]
Beyond these 'hard skills'' of boatsmanship, he was a great conversationalist - someone you would actually want to spend some time with. Discussed many topics - everyday life in Bulgaria post-post-communism, the 'ski scene' in Bulgaria, and his 3 years of experience as a rafting guide Alaska
(2) the River - beautiful 2 1/2 hour stretch of river - strong enough rapids to keep things very interesting, but nothing 'beyond' [except for one stretch where tourists are given the option to leave their raft and walk 'around'] I would NOT take little kids on this trip - maybe in mid-July or August it is different, I don't know.
(3) the experience - even though it was quite cold for a boat trip, we were supplied with the appropriate gear. It was the last day of our Bansko ski trip - we were picked up in Bansko in the morning, and brought to Sofia in the late afternoon. Everyone at Reflip greeted us with a smile.
BOTTOM LINE - highly recommended.
ADDITIONAL NOTE - if you take this trip, you should pay extra for the photographer. He follows the boat on foot from the bank of the river - we received well over 100 photos from different parts of the trip. Worth EVER penny
