点评：Taking the cooking class with Cappadocia Home Cooking was one of the most meaningful and memorable parts of my entire trip to Turkey. From the moment Tolga picked us up from our hotel in Göreme, we knew we were in for something special. He was kind, warm, and easy to communicate with throughout the booking process and beyond.
The class is held in their stunning historic family home, lovingly renovated to welcome guests while preserving its charm and soul. When you arrive, you’re welcomed with tea, dried apricots, and cinnamon cookies. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, and as different family members drift in and out during the evening, you truly feel like you’ve been invited to the home of a family friend.
The highlight for me was cooking alongside Tolga’s mother, Havva. I grew up learning to cook with my own grandmother, and being in Havva’s kitchen stirred something deeply emotional and joyful. She exudes warmth and wisdom, and her guidance felt like both a lesson and a blessing. You can feel her love for food and people in every dish.
The entire family are chefs, and their expertise and passion for hospitality shine through every part of the evening—from the perfectly prepared dishes to the generous spirit with which they’re shared. At several points, members of the team said, “This is your home too. Eat!”—and that perfectly captures the heart of this experience.
If you’re visiting Cappadocia, do not miss this class. It’s more than just a cooking lesson—it’s an unforgettable cultural and personal experience.
