点评:We underestimated our timing, that it took a while to wait for the shuttle bus #51 and its journey. After disembarked at Izumi Yonchome bus stop we have to walk briskly along the airfield to the Air Park, along which there is NO signage, as the Museum closes at 5pm. Probably the Locals visit more than any Overseas tourist (like us from SG).
The Museum entry is FOC, and is where one can learn all about Japan’s aviation technology over the years. The main building have a couple full size aircraft and a movie theater (which unfortunately was closed the day I went). On the top floor they have models of every aircraft the JASDF has used going back to their founding in the 50s. From the top floor you can walk over to the exhibition hanger which has lots of full size aircraft from different eras, some of which you can even sit in and take pictures. There‘s the F1 and F2 fighter jet, the older SVA-9 and even the VVIP B747! They also have their simulators in another building but we understand one has to q very long for them. It was already closed when we reached so .. The same for the café at 2F, also closed
Before exiting we visited the gift shop where we earlier enter. Packed, as enthusiasts looked for their favourite souvenirs . Nice.
